JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- The Eighth Judicial District Recovery Court graduated seven participants on Friday, March 10.  The ceremony, complete with caps and gowns, was held at the Jacksboro United Methodist Church. 

There were more than 125 people in attendance to celebrate with the graduates. This included 40 other participants, the Recovery Court Team, lawyers, service providers, law enforcement, family members and retired Judge Shayne Sexton.  All of the graduates began their journey under his leadership.

The ceremony began with guest speakers and former graduates Kathleen Phipps and Lynn Wiley.

Graduates being honored included:  Heather Sumner, Hillary Butler, Melvin “J.R.” Herrell, Misty Cresap, Michael Smith, Wanda Herbert, and Tiffany Norris Pigg.  These graduates are from Campbell, Claiborne, Fentress, and Scott Counties. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 03/16/2023- 6AM)
