The new training facility, next to the sheriff’s department headquarters, is now open for the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department.

JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office recently opened the doors to a new training facility.

An in-service event, which focused on new state mandated training was recently provided to members of the CCSO and the Jellico Police Department. This training focused on specific areas of interest in De-escalation, Duty to Intervene, Officer Wellness and Public Assembly.

There is now a local facility where valuable training can be completed, according to Sheriff Wayne Barton. The CCSO now has certified instructors in most aspects of law enforcement. Many more training opportunities will be available in the near future and we invite all agencies to participate, he said. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 03/20/2023- 6AM)
