JACKSBORO,TN. (WLAF)- Already serving eight years in prison for the drug related death of his friend, John Storey was sentenced in another case last week.

Having previously pled guilty to possession of a schedule II controlled substance in a different case, Storey was sentenced to serve 11 months and 29 days, which will be served at 0 percent. This sentence is concurrent with his December sentencing.

In December 2022, the 33- year- old Storey was sentenced to eight years in prison for reckless homicide, sale of a schedule II controlled substance and delivery of a schedule II controlled substance.

He had previously pled guilty to providing William Kent Blackwell with the Fentanyl that led to his December 2020 death. The medical examiner determined Blackwell had died from “acute Fentanyl toxicity,” court records said.

Currently, Storey is serving his sentence in the Campbell County Jail, according to Tennessee Department of Corrections records.
