CARYVILLE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The groundbreaking of Campbell County’s first inclusive playground was in November. HERE is a related story.

At the groundbreaking, Caryville Cares Playground Chairman Brandon Johnson called it “a major step for our project.”

The project has been underway for more than a year, and most projects take three years or more to fully fundraise for and construct, according to Johnson.  Johnson said he hopes the playground will be totally complete sometime in 2023.

This is a view of the planned equipment that will be built on site for the playground.

The excavation work is being provided by KC Excavating, and the site plans were created by IRTEC.  Both businesses are donating their services to the playground.
