Wenda “Wendy” Gail Bailey, age 59, breathed her last laborious breath on earth but her very first renewed breath in Heaven on Thursday, April 13, 2023, in the comfort of her home in LaFollette.  Wendy loved the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, and she clung to the eternal promise she had in Him dearly. Wendy’s life was and is a true epitome of strength as she finished her race on earth with a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Though the cancer was present, what she would want to be remembered about her was her deep love for her family.  Wendy enjoyed crocheting and making every new baby a soft blanket, reading, working puzzles, gardening and canning foods, feeding and watching birds, her dog Abbie, long talks with her sisters, Heaven on Earth was getting to hold brand new babies just being born and to continue passing on all her motherly advice to any new mom, especially her daughters. She had a heart of deep compassion for those who were sick and elderly and spent much of her life in the profession of caring for those. Her greatest pastime was any amount of time she got to spend with her grandchildren, whom she would call “Mamaw’s little loves”.  Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Bailey, loving son, Kenny Jordan, infant grandchildren Micah and Solomon Carroll, father, James Glen Wright, mother, Evelyn Louise Wright, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

She survived and ran her race with her daughters, Alishia Carroll and husband, Bobby, and Christina Gibson and husband, Brian; Grandchildren, Audrey, Matthew, Bailee, Lydia, Natalie, and Jensen Carroll, Erik, Cassie, and Timothy Holden, Haley, Austin, and Shae Jordan; Sisters, Barbara Santiago and husband, Steve, Debbie Kitts and husband, Bobby; Dear neighbor friend, Robert Green.  A host of other relatives and friends including step-children, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In tribute to Wendy’s journey on earth, please wear purple on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, in her memory as a representation of her battle with pancreatic cancer and the color of her birthstone.
