Mr. George Edward Miller, age 73, of LaFollette passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Wynn Ridge Nursing Home in Crossville after a lengthy illness.  He was a skilled carpenter tradesman and self-employed before retirement.  His favorite thing to do was ride the mountains of Royal Blue and surrounding area and watch the Elk.  George was a true Tennessee Vol and loved watching them.

George is preceded in death by wife of 32 years Carolyn Norton Miller, parents Mr. George and Mossie Miller of Duff, father and mother in law Bill and Virginia Norton, brother in law Gregg Norton, nephew DeWayne Meredith, niece Amber Dick, and later life companion Jeri Carroll.

He is survived by son and daughter in law Jamie and Taunya Miller of Lake City, grandson Tyler Miller of Knoxville, sisters Dorothy Meredith (Marshall) of Crossville, Margaret Ann Miller Graham of LaFollette, sisters in law Kathy Martin (Randall) of Jacksboro, and Tammy Dick of LaFollette, brothers in law Billy Norton (Wanda) of Jacksboro, Jeff Norton of LaFollette, nephews Mark Meredith, Jordy Martin and Jarret Dick, niece Rhonda Wilson, and many great nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends that loved him dearly.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday  April 25, 2023 from 12:00-2:00 pm in chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Bakers Forge cemetery with family friend Bobby Duncan officiating.
