LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – There were three emergencies in a span of about two hours on Thursday afternoon-evening. As the result of two of those mishaps, a medical helicopter airlifted two patients to a Knoxville hospital.

At 5:30pm Thursday, a motorcycle wrecked on West High Knob Road not far from Lonas Young Park/The White Bridge. The bike went over an embankment injuring two people. One person was transported by air to a Knoxville hospital while the other patient was taken by a ground ambulance to the La Follette Medical Center.

First Responders had no sooner finished working the motorcycle wreck when another call came in at 7:06pm. A player was injured during a soccer match being played at Campbell High. Officials report that a boy, suffering a possible neck injury, was airlifted from the soccer field.
The Campbell County Rural Fire Service answered the call of a vehicle on fire on Thursday evening. At 7:45pm, firefighters extinguished that fire on the General Carl Stiner Highway (Hwy 63) at Suttles Lane. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/05/2023-7:30AM)
