JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – A Jacksboro woman had an unwanted visitor on May 3. Campbell County Sheriff’s Sergeant Tosha Tackett answered a call on Timberlake Circle about a female entering a home wearing some type of white outfit. Tackett was aware this was the second call on the female in the same area. When Tackett arrived, she saw the female walking from the apartment complex in what appeared to be a unicorn adult onesie, according to a report from the sheriff’s department.

Tackett made contact with the female identified as Courtney Rutherford and instructed her to put her hands behind her back. Rutherford responded, “I plead the fifth,” at this point Tackett had not ask any questions. Rutherford refused to drop a drink she had in her hand stating, “I just got this, I’m not putting it down.” Tackett knocked the drink from Rutherfords right hand and placed her in custody.

Once Rutherford was in custody Tackett spoke with the victim who stated she had her front door open due to her kids playing outside. The victim continued that she turned around in her bedroom and saw Rutherford standing in her apartment. She alleged that Rutherford had asked for something to drink, the victim stated that she was scared and did not know what to do so she handed Rutherford a drink. Rutherford then began asking for things and the victim told her no several times and to leave, she then began saying things such as “now I know where you live,” “how old are your kids,” according to the report.

Rutherford, 22, 284 Fox Den Lane, LaFollette was charged with aggravated burglary. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/12/2023-6AM)
