LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – In late November, La Follette Police Officer Cheyenne White responded to a child molestation call for service in the City of La Follette. Upon investigating the incident, White turned the investigation over to LPD Det. Sgt. Danielle Gilbert.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Robert Forrester committed sexual battery of a minor on several occasions.

Robert Forrester, 30, La Follette, will serve 22 years at 100 percent in the custody of the Tennessee Department of Corrections, according to officials with the La Follette Police Department.

Gilbert presented the case to the Campbell County Grand Jury and received a True Bill. Forrester was arrested and pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery.
