JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- Ben Foust, Campbell County High School Principal, was arrested last night by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. He was booked into the Campbell County Jail and, on Friday, was extradited to Claiborne County.

Foust was stopped on East Central Avenue at North Street, near the hospital, by the THP Thursday just before 8 pm for a traffic violation, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. It was then that his active warrant from Claiborne County was discovered.

In 2006, Foust was given a ticket for speeding and violation of the financial responsibility law, Claiborne County Jail staff said. He did not appear in court on these tickets prompting a failure to appear warrant to be issued.

That warrant was dormant until last night’s traffic stop. Foust, 41, was released on Friday from the Claiborne County Jail, according to an official at the jail. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 5/19/2023 8:45AM-UPDATED – 05/19/2023-3:30PM)
