Bette J. Hutson Bradley,

Age 69, of Knoxville, TN passed away suddenly on May 29, 2023, surrounded by family and friends who love her dearly. She was born on August 12, 1953, to Claire Walden Adkins and Howard Monroe Hutson in Jellico, TN.

Bette graduated from Jellico High School in 1971 and received her Cosmetology License from Joseph’s School of Hair Design in Knoxville. She married her high school sweetheart Jeffrey Bradley on May 23, 1976, and they recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. They had one daughter, Jennifer (Bradley) Janda in May 1982. Bette’s family traveled the world together and she loved every adventure. Bette continued to practice cosmetology until 2001 and has continued to cut family members’ hair to this day. Bette and Jeffrey moved to Knoxville in 2001 and have lived there since that time. In 2013, Bette became a Mimi to her one and only grandchild, McKayla Janda, whom she adored with all of her heart. Bette wholeheartedly loved her family and was the glue that held it together.  Bette will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She was a kind, caring, loving soul who had Christ in her heart and made sure her family walked with Christ as well. Bette was a strict, but loving mother. She was a loyal, loving, wonderful wife.  Bette loved to shop, she loved all things Christmas and decorating for holidays, she loved traveling to new places, she loved both the beach and the mountains. Bette just loved life.

Bette is survived by her loving husband Jeffrey Bradley, daughter Jennifer Bradley Janda and son-in-law Hunter Janda, granddaughter McKayla Janda, sisters Helen Creekmore and husband Dick, Catherine Queener, and Carolyn Price, sister-in-law Bernice Brod, brother-in-law Gary Bradley and Peggy, 8 nieces, 1nephew, and many other family members who loved her so much.

She is preceded in death by her father Howard Hutson, mother Claire (Walden) Adkins, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, and sister-in-law Bonnie Sheperd.

The family will receive friends: 5 – 7 p.m. Saturday, June 03, 2023, at the Harp Funeral Home
