It’s Dayne Deavours Day in Campbell County (June 13, 2019)

LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – June 8 marked four years since the devastating flood on the east-southeast side of La Follette. At the height of the storm, La Follette Utilities Board Lineman Dayne Deavours performed two swift water rescues saving both people.

As a result, then Campbell County Mayor E.L. Morton proclaimed June 13, 2019, as Dayne Deavours Day in Campbell County.

So, fittingly on this June 13, WLAF remembers Deavours heroics some four years later on his special day. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/13/2023-4PM)
