LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The Pine Branch will be holding its grand opening on Saturday, June 10 from 11am till 6pm. There will be door prizes, lots of samples, cotton candy and Italian soda carts, as well as the Seven Loaves Food Truck on site for the event. Come check out the new unique gift shop in downtown LaFollette at 124 West Central Avenue, the Ben Rogers Building. They have tons of unique Father’s Day items for sale.

The business is owned by John and Tayler Franke, pictured here with their son.

The Pine Branch is a “Tennessee Artisan Mercantile; a space to procure your favorite hard to find, regionally made artisan fare and goods while enjoying the homey experience of community,” according to co-owner Tayler Franke. She and her husband John have been working for months getting the business ready for opening. 

“We’re so excited to be part of the downtown business community,” Franke said.

The Pine Branch features unique gifts and merchandise from across the state.

Everything except the books are from a “Tennessee creative mind”.

The Pine Branch is in the Ben Rogers Building at the corner of West Central and Nevada Avenues.

Come check out the “Honey Hutch” filled with different kinds of local Tennessee honey, bees wax candles and more. The mercantile also has a large selection of creative greeting cards, lots of fun snacks, hot sauces and other unique gifts and souvenirs.

According Tayler, opening The Pine Branch was “totally inspired by God” and has been a two year process.

“I have such a passion for downtown LaFollette and I want to see it become a thriving downtown community. The shop is our way of investing in the community and showing our support,” Franke said.

According to the owners, “The Pine Branch isn’t just a shop, it’s designed to be a cozy space where you can rest, chat with friends, play cribbage (among other classic board games) or read.”

The vintage books on The Pine Branch bookshelves are “collected and curated to provide steps back in time.” The books can be enjoyed in the lounge area of the shop or can also be purchased for your own bookshelves or as a gift.

“The goal of The Pine Branch is to showcase as many of the Artisans and Makers of Tennessee as we can; to support the wonderful work of Tennessee creatives. There will be a selection of gifts, souvenirs or just items you love for yourself and prepackaged snacks and drinks from across the state of Tennessee.”

The Pine Branch is located at 124 West Central Avenue in LaFollette.
