JACKSBORO, TN. (WLAF)- Two Campbell County inmates were at the emergency room Tuesday evening for unspecified “medical conditions.” Officials were not reporting the nature of these conditions but a 911 call was placed just after 3 pm Tuesday reporting possible overdoses at the county jail.

Around 7 pm Tuesday Campbell County Chief Deputy Cody Chapman reported having little information about the situation. This (Tuesday) afternoon, when Chapman arrived at the area in the jail where the male inmates were he said they were awake. “By the time I got back there they were fine,” he said.

The inmates will be examined and transported back to the jail, Chapman said. An investigation will follow but officials are not optimistic it will reveal much. “Inmates and criminals don’t tell on themselves and they don’t tell on each other,” the chief deputy said.
