CARYVILLE, TN. (WLAF)- The Caryville Public Library kicked off its summer reading program at Cove Lake State Park with over 140 in attendance. This year the theme is Camp Kindness to promote kindness, equality, unity, and friendship.

Children had a busy day as the Caryville Summer Reading Program kicked off.

The first day participants were assigned to their color teams for team building activities such as developing a team name and making a team banner. Sign-ups for summer reading closed on May 30 and the program will run until June 30. The library hosts summer reading annually. This year’s turn out is the largest to date. This year the library decided to partner with Cove Lake because it has outgrown its building. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 6/8/2023- 6AM)
