George Franklin Hayes, age 89, of LaFollette, passed away on May 29, 2023.  He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, APFC in the United States Air Force serving 17 years and 17 years in Civil Service before his retirement in 1985.  After retiring he loved fishing, camping, and traveling the U.S. with his wife Millie.

Preceded in death by his mother and father Mollie Steeley Hayes and Basil Hayes, son Steve Hayes, daughter Joanna Hayes, sons-in-law Eric Kloph and Jackie French, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Survived by his wife of 42 years Millie Haun Hayes, daughter Wanda Kloph, step-daughters Teresa French (Danny), and Pam Bowling (Scott), 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, his best buddy Dana Ward, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends to mourn his passing.

A private service was held at Bakers Forge Cemetery, with scripture, and prayer by Rev. Zach Lloyd, and Military Honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
