Mr. Robert “Bob” Sweat, age 88 of LaFollette passed away Monday, June 19, 2023.  He was a long-time member of Forks Grove Baptist Church, a 50-year member of Stooksbury Masonic Lodge #602, F. & A.M., and was a former Truck Driver.  Bob loved Bluegrass music, classic cars, and motorcycles.  He had a great knowledge of history, and enjoyed reading and studying his Bible.  Preceded in death by first Wife, Eva Rose Goins in 1975, Beloved Son, Billy Sweat, second Wife, Diana Sweat, Parents, Wheeler and Lena Sweat, Brothers, Earl, Ernest, Albert, and Roe Sweat, and Sisters, Louise Lumpkins and Lizzie Sweat. 

Survivors: 3 Children, Donna Sweat Carroll, Robert Edward Sweat and Wife, Cathy, and Rhonda Sweat; Grandchildren, Shelly, William, Krystle, Tabatha, Savannah, and Amanda; Great-Grandchildren, Shawn, Reece, Jocelyn, Landon, Lyla, Robby, Maddason, and Emma; Step-Children, Sheri Muse, Joey Rutherford, and Stephen Rutherford; Step-Grandchildren, Keaton, Carter, and Shelby; Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services Thursday, June 22, 2023, 8:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Poston officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday before funeral services.  Family and friends will meet Friday, June 23, 2023, 10:30 A.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 11:00 A.M. Graveside Services and Interment.  Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Robert “Bob” Sweat.
