LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Mother Earth Massage has moved locations and is hosting an Open House event today. Now located in LaFollette, across from the old IGA, Mother Earth Massage will have sample chair massages from 11am to 1pm, light snacks will be provided by The Doorway Gourmet and AuraPhotography by Amanda Trout from Purple Sage Photography will also be available for $35 from 1pm till 6:30 pm.
Mother Earth Massage is owned and operated by MelishA Willis, who started her business nearly 18 years ago.
“I have been blessed with Jean Hopkins, LMT, who has been with me going on eight years and has also been a therapist for 18 years,” Willis said.
The shop offers a wide range of modalities, from relaxation massage to Thai foot massage, specialty scrubs and much more. They also offers packages that include time under infrared lights to help with arthritis pain upon request.
Willis said she was “grateful and blessed” by the community’s support over the years and during the recent business relocation.
“It’s been a little bit of an adventure getting into the new location, and I’m very pleased with all the folks hard work that went into it, ” Willis said.
She said she was also thankful for the support during COVID.
“I’m very grateful for the community’s support through the years. A little special shout out to my quilter ladies and of course the teachers who kept us in business during the COVID experience. Mostly I thank God, the Creator for giving me the courage to move forward in this beautiful healing work. Remember ‘Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are,- Chinese Proverb. As I always say, In Loving Light,” Willis said.
She and Hopkins invite you to join them today during their Open House to check out the new location, sample a chair massage and scope out the AuraPhotography.
“If you haven’t ever experienced this, you are missing out,” Willis said.
Accordingto Willis, “Aura Photography captures the Aura of a person in a beautiful array of colors via a camera.”
Mother Earth Massage is now located at 1214 Jacksboro Pike Suite A, in LaFollette, next to Gray Insurance.
