Ervin Louis Blankenship Jr., age 67, of LaFollette passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief, where he served 30 years. After the navy he was a field service engineer. He played the saxophone, enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling, fishing, hunting, and cooking on the grill. He graduated from Seminole High School.

Daughters: Julie Blankenship of Jacksboro, TN and Stacey and Juan Cortez of Slater, MO

Son: Ervin and Lisa Blankenship of Lake City, FL

Sisters: Tammy Ryals and Deborah Stowell

Uncle: Roy Blankenship

2 Great-Grandchildren

Nieces, nephews cousins and extended family.

Family will receive friends Monday, July 3rd 1 PM – 3 PM at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with service to follow at 3 PM in the Cross-Smith Chapel with Rev. Jason Shockley officiating. Interment will be held in Sanford, FL at Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors.
