JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – Earlier today, Campbell High Director of Athletics Matt Price announced Eric Hart as the new baseball coach of the Cougars. Hart takes over for Coach Brian Miracle who stepped down at the end of this season to spend more time with his growing family.
“Eric’s expertise and passion for the game make him an outstanding candidate to lead the CCHS baseball program. He is an East Tennessee native and 2019 graduate of Maryville College. He was a member of the Scots baseball team for four years,” said Price.
Hart has most recently been the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas. He was also a graduate assistant at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, in 2019.
Hart comes from a baseball family. He played for his dad, Travis, at Gatlinburg Pittman High School, and his mother is a long time educator. His father is now the head coach at Eagleton Academy in Blount County.
Hart will be joining the La Follette Middle School staff as a PE teacher this fall. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/27/2023-1PM)
