LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- Charges are pending in the Friday afternoon accident that resulted in one person being airlifted for medical care and traffic tied up for hours.

April Dawn Vinsant, 43, was driving her 2004 Chevrolet Aveo on Highway 63 in the westbound lane when she allegedly crossed over into the lane where Albert Gillespie, 33, was driving.

The accident resulted in traffic back up that lasted for hours.

Gillespie was driving his 2014 Chevrolet Camaro in the eastbound lane when Vinsant allegedly struck him head on near Hunter’s Branch Road, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Both drivers were injured in the accident. Charges are pending against Vinsant, the report said.
