JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF) – The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office has released the statistics for the department’s June activity. An interesting stat among the June numbers is the number of property checks. That number totals 2,165 which comes out to an average of three property checks an hour.

During the month of June 2023:

Miles patrolled: 53,235 (not reported in May)

Calls for Service: 1,180 (May 803)

Civil Process: 249 (May 266)

Assisted Motorist: 60 (May 58)

Property Checks: 2,165 (May 1,623)

Arrests: 50 (May 30)

Citations: 12 (May 8)

Incident Reports: 100 (May 60)

Crash Reports: 18 (May 16)

Funeral Escorts: 38 (May 29)

There were 239 (May 182) bags of litter picked up across 48.5 miles of roadway.
