Diane Dawson, age 65 of Speedwell, departed this life on Friday, July 28th, 2023 at her residence. She was born June 23, 1958 in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Lawrence Collins and Loria (Lambert) Swope. Diane was of the Church of God faith. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, four wheeling, and hummingbirds. Diane loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Wendell Collins and Jerry Peck; sister, De Edra Collins.

Diane is survived by her husband, Frank Dawson of Speedwell; son, John Florian and wife, Destiny of Speedwell; daughters, Ashley Dawson, Stevie Dawson, and Sarah Dawson all of Speedwell; sister, Brenda “Binkie” Kaiser of Speedwell; six grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 31st from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. The funeral service for Diane will be on Tuesday, August 1st in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home at 12:00 PM. Her interment will follow the funeral service at the Dawson Family Cemetery.
