LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A woman wanted on outstanding warrants was arrested Thursday afternoon and is being housed this morning in the Campbell County Jail. Speeding is what brought attention to the woman.

“Our Narcotics Unit responded to the parking lot of a business where an individual who had outstanding warrants was located,” said La Follette Police Lieutenant Matthew Forsyth. The arrest location was in the parking lot close to a grooming business on Jacksboro Pike near the South Avenue traffic light.

Stephanie Elaine Duncan was placed into custody, and her vehicle was inventoried, according to the lieutenant. “Inside the vehicle, we discovered schedule I Heroin,” said Forsyth.

Duncan, 37, Poplar Drive, Jacksboro, was arrested for the 21st time and is due to be arraigned on Friday, based on jail records. In addition to the outstanding warrants, Duncan is now facing drug charges and a charge of speeding, according to Lt. Forsyth. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/28/2023-6AM)
