Wlaf1450Dessie Lou Seibers Ward, age 71 of Jacksboro, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. She was born on April 9, 1952, to the late Clarence and Erma Younce Seibers in Campbell County. Dessie loved working puzzles and spending time with her family. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Caryville and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: brother, Edward Seibers; sister, Carolyn Seibers; Grandparents, Rev. George and Rachel Seibers, and Edward and Minnie Younce; special companion, her dog Katie.
She is survived by: children, Tracie Ward (Jerry), Charlotte Taylor (Steven); sisters, Minnie Jean Smith (Billy), Rachel Ward (Jerry), Barbara Seibers; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-granchildren; special niece, Jennifer Fox; several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Leach Family Funeral Home on Sunday, August, 6 2023, from 5-7pm with the funeral service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Clifford Fraker and Rev. Aaron Hunley officiating. Graveside services will be on Monday, August 7, 2023, at 1pm at Queener Cemetery in Jacksboro.
