The mystery of the call that came in to Central Dispatch at 12:15am Friday was solved when Campbell County Sheriff’s investigators located the car on Country Oaks Lane. That road connects to Chestnut Stump Road which turns off Grantsboro Road near the Grantsboro Baptist Church.

Of the few details, two people, a man and a woman, believed to be in their 20s, suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds, based on comments from one official. The woman refused to be transported while the man was taken by Campbell County EMS to a Knoxville hospital.
