CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECTS; NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Campbell County Board of Education will receive sealed bids on the 24th day of August 2023, at 10:00 a.m. (prevailing local time), at the Campbell County Department of Finance, 555 Main Street, Jacksboro, TN 37757, regarding the LaFollette Elementary School and Caryville Elementary School roof replacement projects.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE:
Pre-Bid Conferences will be held at the LaFollette Elementary School and Caryville Elementary School project sites on Thursday, August 17, 2023. We will begin at 9:30 a.m. (prevailing local time) at LaFollette Elementary School, 195 Myers Lane, Lafollette, TN 37766 and proceed to Caryville Elementary School, 120 Cardinal Circle, Caryville, TN 37714 at approximately 11:30 a.m. An overview of the work to be completed at each site will be discussed at these times. This will be the only opportunity that bidders will be allowed access to the roof areas during bidding. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conferences is mandatory to be eligible to submit bids on these projects.
EXAMINATION AND PROCUREMENT OF DOCUMENTS:
Construction documents may be secured by contacting Roof Management, Inc. at (502) 228-7298. Questions regarding the project should be addressed to Scott Jackson of Roof Management, Inc.
Construction documents will be made available for viewing at the Campbell County Department of Finance, 555 Main Street, Jacksboro, TN 37757.
The Bidder shall refer to the Instructions to Bidders, bound in the Project Manual, for additional bidding procedures and requirements.
BID SECURITY:
The bid must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to the Campbell County Board of Education, an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid or an acceptable bidder’s surety bond made payable to the Campbell County Board of Education, in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Tennessee. The certified check or Bidder’s Bond shall be a guarantee that said bidder will, if the Contract is awarded to him, execute within fifteen (15) days from the acceptance of his bid, a contract for the work bid upon and furnish acceptable surety bonds as set forth in the Specifications. However, if the Contractor has not executed the Contract within the fifteen (15) day period, or has failed to furnish acceptance surety bonds as indicated, the Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the most responsive and responsible bidder, and the bid security will be forfeited. Awarded contractor to supply all labor according to Davis Bacon Wage Rates.
Bid Forms shall be properly and completely submitted on the Bid Form included in these Specifications accompanied by a completed Campbell County Finance Department Vendor Packet.
No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
BIDDER’S QUALIFICATIONS:
A Financial Statement is a required attachment to Bid Form, as well as a current Certificate of Insurance sample.
OWNER’S RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS:
Campbell County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects or irregularities if deemed to be for the best interest of the School District.
All bidders must conform to the anti-discrimination provisions of the Tennessee Law.
