LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – East End School was built in the 1930s and served the community as an elementary school until 2007, somewhere around 70 years.

The school was closed once the Lafollette Elementary School was opened combining east and west elementary schools.

Demolition begin on the building on February 15, 2011, and by the end of March, all of the original building was gone.

This picture is one of the very few of the front of the school, which was on East Chestnut Street.

Today the two newer sections still remain, one is the East End Community Center and the other East Lafollette Learning Academy. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/24/2023-6AM)
