LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A vehicle with non-working brake lights caught the attention of LaFollette Police Officer Anthony Mahar last week.

Mahar stopped the black car and made contact with the driver identified as Jeremy Lee Ballard on Aug. 15 around 1 pm. Officer Mahar told Ballard why he had stopped the vehicle and requested to search the vehicle, to which Ballard consented.

Mahar had the front and rear seat passenger get out of the vehicle. A check of their names revealed that Ballard had a probation violation in Campbell County and two warrants with the LaFollette Police Department.

Ballard 35, 122 Pleasant Drive, LaFollette was placed under arrest and transported to the Campbell County Jail. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/24/2023-6AM)
