LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- One local business is setting aside a day to show appreciation for teachers. Every Thursday, The Pine Branch will be taking a portion of the day’s sale to buy a teacher an item off their Amazon Wish List.

“I want there to be a way to continually support teachers and encourage the teaching community,’ said Tayler Franke, owner of The Pine Branch. “ I want teachers to feel supported every day, every minute.

Knowing that back to school excitement can wane Franke intends to have ‘Thank You Teachers Thursday’ be a year round event.

On the heels of Teacher Tuesday event, Franke launched the Thursday event. As strong proponent of education Franke wants teachers to feel the value they bring to the community.

Each Thursday a teacher will be randomly selected from the wish lists sent to Franke. She will then buy a gift from the lucky teacher’s Amazon Wish List. The gifts can be shipped or picked up at The Pine Branch’s LaFollette location.

Two teachers have already been selected and gifted their items, Franke said.

To be entered into the giveaway, teachers can email their lists to thepinebranch@gmail.com or message The Pine Branch on Instagram and Facebook.
