LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Wednesday evening valley commuters had to navigate some traffic pattern changes heading up and down Hwy 63 (General Carl Stiner Hwy).

The Food Lion is on the left ahead.

It seems like most caught on to the shift, others not so much. Many coming out at Myers Lane (Food Lion) were still turning into the lanes they’ve been using for a good while. The same holds true at the red light near Big O’s. Once the first car went to the old lane the rest followed.

Big changes here just east of the La Follette Middle School.

Heads up for the traffic going up the valley just stay right and you’ll be in the correct lane.

Here’s a look at the shift of the traffic pattern around the Food Lion.

Crews were changing the signs alerting motorist what they needed to do. You will want to be prepared, because some of the new roadway is rough.

Extra care is needed, because many morning commuters may not be aware of the new traffic patterns and it may be foggy. Drive safely. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 08/24/2023-6AM)
