CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Tonight at 6:00 o’clock, the Town of Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet in a redo of a previous meeting. “Yes, this is a redo from our October meeting,” said Mayor Bobby Stooksbury.

On Oct. 24, the board met and accepted an offer on 39 acres of property in the Erschel Collins Industrial Park. The company agreed to pay $19,000 an acre for a total price of $741,000. During the meeting the name of the company was not revealed, however, it was reported that the company would be starting out with 80 employees and increase its staff in three phases. At that time, the company was slated to break ground in 60 days.

The special called meeting agenda states Pursuant to section 6-3-106(a)(4) of the Caryville Charter, Mayor Stooksbury hereby calls a Special Meeting of the Town of Caryville Board of Mayor and Aldermen on Monday, Dec. 18, at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and vote on the potential declaration of the municipal property at 144 Sonny Boshears Lane, Pioneer as surplus.
