Justin and Matt Price accept coaching positions at Grace Christian Academy

By Jim Freeman

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Sure there have been flirtations over the years like Dobyns-Bennett and Ravenwood, but the Price twins, Justin (top photo) and Matt, have stayed on at Campbell High as football coaches. But not this time. Grace Christian Academy came calling and the Prices answered yes.

While on The Hill, the Price brothers accomplished countless firsts like a 10 win season, playoff wins and more. However, “the” one thing Justin and Matt did for Campbell was change the culture. The program had only had one fleeting winning season prior to their arrival. The twins convinced their players, the fans and opponents that they, too, could win consistently like any other football program, and they did.

Coach Matt Price doubled as Campbell’s director of athletics.

We’ll all miss their smiling faces and cotton tops, but they’re gone now, and we’re left to take the lessons they’ve taught us and move on with a new coach, a coach who will be taking over a program that nowhere resembles the one the brothers inherited at the last minute in the summer of 2011. But who will it be? Where will the committee look? Time will tell.

For now, Cougar fans will anxiously stay on hold until Campbell’s new coach answers yes.

Below is the statement issued by the Price Brothers.
