JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Executive Director Missy Tackett presented a chamber update during Monday’s Campbell County Commission workshop.

She reported the job fair at the mall was a success as was the Lunch and Learn held at Campbell County High School featuring its Career and Technology Education program.

“The Brandon Card Fishing Tournament at Lonas Young Park went well. It’s great for our county, it’s great tourism for us,” Tackett said.

She said the chamber was currently working with the county mayor’s office on the adventure tourism certification for the county.

Tackett announced the chamber had recently launched its new website and encouraged everyone to check it out.

Upcoming projects for the chamber of commerce include the Chocolate Crawl coming up in February for Valentine’s Day. This annual event “highlights local businesses.”

The Chamber’s Coffee connection schedule is out with January’s coffee to be hosted by Woodson’s Cash Stores.

Tackett also reported she would be attending the Cincinnati boat show to promote Campbell County as well as traveling to Connecticut in February to “promote Campbell County as a retirement area.”

The Leadership Campbell County class is scheduled to graduate on time in March. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/09/2024-6AM)
