LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Snow, ice, black ice along with temps in the teens and wind chills below zero make for a good case to stay off the roads. “It’s an uphill battle. Our crews are already back out treating the roads that were treated on Monday hoping that we get some sunshine today,” said Ron Dilbeck, Road Superintendent for Campbell County.

Dilbeck says his department the city street crews and TDOT have been working hard, but the temperature is just not helping. “Everything’s frozen. It’s solid ice. Everything we did yesterday did not get the results we wanted, and we’re starting all over this morning,” said Dilbeck.

“I do not encourage anyone to travel,” said Dilbeck. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/16/2024-6AM)
