Jacksboro’s emergency siren momentarily malfunctioned Sunday morning; no emergency.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – It was not an emergency, and it was not a test. However, not long after 10am Sunday, the Town of Jacksboro’s emergency siren sounded apparently on its own.

“There’s no emergency. It’s just a malfunction of some type,” said JPD Fire Chief Jason Shetterly. The chief was on his way to check out the siren when he talked with WLAF News.

“I was able to turn off the siren, and a service technician is on the way to get the system back in order,” said the chief. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/25/2024-11AM)
