OLIVER SPRINGS, TN (WLAF) – VIP Family Home Care is a locally owned business offering home health care services for America’s energy workers. They have expanded to black lung clients as well and have an upcoming free Black Lung outreach scheduled for Feb. 16 from 9 am till 2 pm.

They offer over 30 years of professional experience and provide quality care for their patients. They have “approachable owners and staff” that are available for their clients medical needs. VIP Family Home Care is licensed by the state of Tennessee.

According to Assistant Office Manager Ashley Cook, they serve the people that work for Y-12, K-25, department of labor workers and other energy workers with deparment of labor medical benefit cards.

The business is located in Oliver Springs, but serves 14 East Tennessee counties, including Campbell County. It is co-owned by Mary Browning and Melissa Wrinkle. Browning lives locally in Campbell County, as does assistant office manager Ashley Cook. Wrinkle lives in Roane County and is a native of Oliver Springs. 

“We want to help Campbell County and all of our other counties as well. This is where we live and we understand the culture and the needs of our patients. Our owners and staff are approachable; you can call and talk to them if you need to,” Cook said.

VIP Family Home Care employs Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Aids, Licensed Practical Nurses, Homemaker aids and more.

“Whatever our clients need, we have resources available. If we don’t have it, we can find what they need,” Cook said. 

All of their in-home staff are “licensed, certified and qualified” and monitored by a medical doctor and nursing clinical director. 

“Our clients become like family us; we want to make sure they are happy and they know they are being taken care of,” Cook said. 

They “pledge to have honest communication and respect for their clients, to honor their personal decisions and to provide quality care, as well as support for the family. The will also collaborate with all providers on the client’s health care needs.”

“We have a supervising physician that comes to our office monthly. We work in collaboration with VIP Primary Care Clinic and a licensed medical doctor to manage care for your Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation needs. You can choose to use this service or be managed by your current provider. That choice is up to the client,” Cook said. 

VIP Family Home Care can help with paperwork, on site consultation with licensed personnel, assistance with durable medical equipment and more.

On Feb. 16, they are conducting an outreach with the Tennessee Black Lung Clinic from 9 am till 2 pm at VIP Family Home Care’s office in Oliver Springs. The clinic is free and open to current or past coal miner’s who are invited to come see if they can get black lung benefits.
