LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- On Sunday, around midnight, LaFollette Police Officer Jesse Ferguson was dispatched to the parking lot of Peoples Bank of the South downtown offices. There was a report of people allegedly using narcotics.

Ferguson found Theresa Ann Hunter in the bank’s parking lot.  As Hunter got out of the vehicle, she took her purse and put it on the ground. Officers Justin Painter and Ferguson searched the vehicle and allegedly found a metal container holding a hypodermic needle, miscellaneous caps, and clear plastic baggies. She allowed police to search her purse, where a black eyeglass case containing two hypodermic needles, a glass pipe, a zip tie, tin foil used as a pipe, and a plastic baggie that contained a crystal-like substance was found, the report said. She allegedly said the crystal-like substance was Meth.

Hunter, 46, homeless, is charged with possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
