Three meetings are scheduled today at 4:45pm, 5:30pm and at 6pm

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – The Town of Caryville has three meetings scheduled for Monday afternoon. The final meeting of the three will be the town’s regular monthly meeting.

The first meeting will be held at 4:45pm to discuss an all-inclusive park and amphitheater. The next meeting will be held at 5:30pm and is a public hearing to discuss Ordinance 2024-01 amending the zoning map of the Town Of Caryville, by changing the zoning for property on Elkins Road from R-1 low density residential to R-2 medium density residential and ordinance 2024-02 amending the zoning ordinance of the Town of Caryville by amending article vii; section 709.20: uses permitted on review (special exceptions) establishing requirements for cryptocurrency mining in the city of Caryville.

The final meeting of the evening will be the regular monthly meeting at 6 pm. The board will have a second reading of Ordinance No: 2024-01 amending the zoning map by changing the zoning for property on Elkins Road from R-1 Low Density Residential to R-2 Medium Density Residential. The board will have a second reading of Ordinance No: 2024-02 amending the zoning ordinance article VII section 709.20 uses permitted on review establishing requirements for cryptocurrency mining.

The board will discuss the second reading of Ordinance No: 2024-03 amending the annual operating budget for fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2024.
