CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- Last week, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office was investigating multiple narcotic complaints in the Woolridge area of Campbell County. Deputies saw a vehicle that was allegedly speeding and had an expired license plate prompting a traffic stop.

Deputies stopped the car and spoke with Luke Thomas Williams, 35, the driver and his passenger Randy Edward Huddleston, 60. K-9 Officer Daisy conducted a free air sniff around the vehicle. During the sniff, K-9 Daisy was alerted to the presence of an odor of drugs. Deputies soon located a bag of Methamphetamine that was believed to have been tossed from the vehicle by one of the occupants, the report said. Williams and Huddleston denied having possessed or discarding the Methamphetamine. Both were arrested.

The following day, detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of Williams. As a result of evidence obtained during the search, a 3-year-old child was removed from the home. The child’s mother, Nephateria Williams, 27, was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the search. Felony amounts of Heroin, Methamphetamine, Methadone, and drug paraphernalia were recovered along with multiple firearms and cash. Williams, the mother, also allegedly attempted to destroy evidence during the search. She was arrested.

Three other females inside the residence were cited to court for possession of controlled substances. Further charges are pending on both Luke and Nephateria Williams. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 3/19/2024- 6AM)
