CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) – One of Caryville’s most iconic landmarks is for sale.  The Scotty’s Restaurant building is on the market.

The Caryville Scotty’s had a rich history with the town and was a favorite spot for many people from all over. For decades, it was the home of the Liar’s Bench, and during the warm weather season, it was a busy place. Sometimes there was a bigger crowd at the Liar’s Bench than in the restaurant.

On April 29, 2023, Scotty’s officially closed, and it became the brick and mortar location for Smokin’ Holler BBQ.
