LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- LaFollette Fire Department First Responders Dustin Davis and Dewayne Seiber were recognized at yesterday afternoon’s LaFollette City Council meeting. The pair was recognized for the emergency delivery of a baby girl on March 4.

Two resolutions were approved beginning with Resolution 2024-05 amending the 2023-24 budget. Next was Resolution 2024-06 authorizing a capital outlay note for the City of LaFollette for $380,000.

In administrative matters, the council approved the hiring of Michelle Rogers as a full-time administrative assistant. Rogers will be City Administrator Stan Foust assistant as well as working in the front office. John Long and Danny Marsee were reappointed to the E911 board.

A bid for a golf simulator from Track Man for $46,990 was approved.

LaFollette Mayor Cliff Jennings read a proclamation declaring April as clean up fix up month at the meeting.

In final business, the beer board approved a beer application for Corner Market located at 604 West Central Avenue.
