Expect the partial eclipse to begin close to 1:49pm, and it will reach its maximum about 3:07pm

A healthy line formed before Monday’s library opening to get free eclipse glasses.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The La Follette Public Library will have free eclipse glasses to distribute on Eclipse Day, Monday, April 8, according to Librarian Nancy Green.

Our area will see a partial eclipse. The maximum coverage of about 89% will be seen close to 3:07pm according to eclipse2024.org. The whole event is likely to start at 1:49pm and end at 4:23pm.

“These glasses are first come, first served, and we just be able to provide one pair per person, and you may not pick up glasses for anyone else,” said Green. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/08/2024-6AM-IMAGE COURTESY OF BRITANNICA)
