With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Harold Goodman, our beloved husband, father, daddy, and papaw. Harold was called to his eternal home on April 7, 2024, at the age of 81.

Harold was a carpenter and builder by trade. He created memories and homes with love and dedication. His hands built more than just structures; they built a foundation of love, faith, and strength for his family and community.

As a devoted deacon of Vasper Baptist Church, Harold’s faith was unwavering. He also served as a trustee of the church and assistant Sunday school teacher to the nursery babies. He served the Lord with humility, compassion, and grace, touching the lives of many with his kindness and wisdom. Harold’s legacy of love, faith, and hard work will forever be cherished by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was a 32˚ Mason and a member of Jacksboro Lodge #322.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mildred Goodman, three daughters, Rissa (Mike) Keen, Angie Ford, and Trish (Greg) McKamey, five grandchildren, Gabe (Tracy) Keen, Marissa (Matt) Knight, Logan Ford, Micayla Keen (Fiancé Conner), and Bailey McKamey, four great- grandchildren, Grady Keen, Lydia Keen, Catelyn Longmars, and Max Knight, sister Violet (Bob) Terrell and special niece, Debi York. Harold had a host of special friends and family who he loved and cherished.

He is preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Zora Goodman; parents-in-law, Lloyd and Grace Nighbert

A funeral service will be held at the Leach Family Funeral Home and Cremation­­­­­­­­­­­ on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 6pm with Brother Jimmy Ault and Pastor Jacob Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends following the funeral. A private burial will take place at Vasper Cemetery in Caryville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Vasper Baptist Church for cemetery upkeep to PO Box 293, Caryville, TN 37714.    

Harold lived by example what a Good-man truly is and finished well.
