LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism held its inaugural Home and Garden Show at the Food City Center at Woodson’s Mall (VERY TOP PHOTO) on Saturday, featuring 15 local businesses.

According to Chamber Director Missy Tackett, the Home and Garden Show went great and showcased some of the local businesses in the area that specialize in the home industry such as contractors, flooring, windows, siding, home décor, paint and more.

The chamber gets a lot of phone calls from people asking for recommendations on these businesses and that’s when Administrative Assistant Dena Miller came up with the idea to get some of these businesses together for a home and garden show, Tackett said.

“We wanted to bring these businesses together in one location so people could come out and see what is available right here locally; it’s great for networking,” Miller said.

She and Tackett said they looked forward to planning more events such as the Home and Garden Show.

“We’re excited to highlight the local businesses in the home industry. We contacted the local retail industry, and they thought it was a great idea; we’ve had a lot of good feedback.” Tackett said, adding that the hope was for the event to grow each year.

The Campbell County Chamber of Commerce held its first Home and Garden Show on Saturday inside and outside the Food City Center at Woodson’s Mall.

She also said she wanted to thank the community for their support and to everyone who came out and set up for the event.

“We also appreciate Woodson’s Mall so much for allowing us to host this event here; Becky Aiken and Rob Woodson have been wonderful,” Tackett said.
