LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - Beth Huddleston is WLAF's teacher of the week. Huddleston teaches first grade at LaFollette Elementary School. She is in her 19th year of teaching.

Unemployed 24-year old man arrested for the 15th time

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - It was just after midnight last Thursday when a La Follette man was arrested in the Glade Springs community and charged with burglary and PI (public intoxication). Campbell County Sheriff's Sgt. Joshua Jeffers was dispatched to Mynatt Lane in reference to a suspicious man standing in the road in front of a house.


Ross charged with vandalism, also wanted in Indiana

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - Campbell County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Fox responded to a call at Dogwood Acres in LaFollette last Friday night about a possible domestic. As Fox approached the area, he saw a woman matching the description of the alleged suspect. The woman was detained until Fox could investigate, according to a report from the sherriff’s department.

Memories of Shelley Ivey's slow, slow moving truck

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - Back in the day around La Follette, this old Chevrolet truck (above) was well known especially for its speed or lack of speed. It was owned and operated by Shelley Ivey of Shelley Ivey's Barber Shop fame. The building that housed his shop still stands today next to Wender Furniture.
