DUFF, TN (WLAF) - The start of school is just around the corner and White Oak Elementary's Amanda Walden is excited to see her students. Walden is WLAF's teacher of the week. She has taught Pre-school at White Oak for the last seven years.


Cougar Band marches toward new season in Wright's seventh year

The new band season is looking up as Campbell County High's Marching Band preps for its 47th season.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) - Not many people realize the dedication and hard work that goes into being a member of the Campbell County High School marching band. The more than fifty member strong band under the direction of seventh-year CCHS Band Director Adam Wright has been hitting the pavement and braving the heat for the past two weeks in preparation of the upcoming 2021 season.  


Man alleges he was test driving four wheeler after repairs

CARYVILLE, TN (WLAF) - Recently, a red four wheeler traveling on Hwy 116 caught the eye of Campbell County Sheriff's Deputy Justin Phillips. A man later identified as Cody Delane Smith continued to drive the four wheeler to his driveway where Phillips conducted a traffic stop.

Caryville woman disputes she stole items

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - A possible theft sent Campbell County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Fox looking a small black car last Saturday. Fox answered a call on Sharp’s Cemetery Lane, LaFollette where it was alleged that a female had taken a small tent, foam mattress and miscellaneous tools that he (the victim) could not identify.

Foust hired as city administrator for LaFollette

Stan Foust was voted by council on Tuesday afternoon to become the permanent city administrator. However, it is a dual role position as he will also continue as La Follette's City Clerk.
