The City of La Follette Regional Planning Commission met Thursday afternoon with two variance requests on the agenda.

The first request was brought by Jason Rutherford and Roger Jackson concerning the old Regions Bank building located at 2425 Jacksboro Pike next to Grace Rehab. The request was to subdivide the property into two lots. One lot would include the bank building and around 1.5 acres. The other would be the remaining land behind the building at about 3.5 acres. The request was approved.

Next were Susan Johnson and Jeff Johnson requesting a setback on their garage located on Rose Hill. No problems were seen with this request as the garage sets back off the road. The request was approved.

Those board members in attendance on Thursday were Planning Commission Chairman Joe Bolinger and board members Ed Wheeler, Mike Stanfield, newly appointed member Dewayne Gibson, Mark Hoskins and Codes Officer Daniel Smith.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/26/2018-6AM)
