LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The Central Avenue Bridge refurbishment and the start of flower bed construction in Downtown La Follette make for a busy scene this morning.

Construction for the new flower beds began this morning at Freeman Park corner where East Central Avenue and First Street meet.

Southern Constructors (CSI) started pouring concrete on the north side of the Central Ave Bridge Wednesday morning.
Charlie Bowling heads up the Central Avenue Bridge refurbishment project for CSI said, “We have started the re-build on the north side of the bridge.  As you know, this side has taken the brunt of the damage, and several yards of concrete will be poured today.”
Design and Construction Services, Incorporated (DCSI) began at Central & First with the flower bed project.  It appears that the DCSI will demolish a couple of corners today alone.
