LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Showers and thunderstorms will be around at times today into tonight in Campbell County. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible, which may lead to localized flooding in any areas where repeated showers and thunderstorms occur.  Today’s showers and storms will be of the scattered variety leaving many of us not seeing rain at all today and even tonight.

Expect a very muggy day with occasional breezes and a high near 90 on this Tuesday.  Tonight’s low only slips to 70-degrees and the warmth and humidity.  The chance of rain and storms for Tuesday and Tuesday night is 30 percent.

Increasing moisture and moderate instability can be expected for Wednesday and Wednesday evening. A frontal boundary will move across the region from late Wednesday afternoon into the evening hours producing scattered to numerous thunderstorms. Some of these storms may be strong to possible severe with the main concern being isolated damaging winds and torrential rains.
